I am going to buy a 0350 but I do not know if I want serations or not. does anyone have the 0350 with serations? Are they any good?
thanks

It's all personal preference. Serrations are very good for fibrous materials like rope or twine.

Yes I understand that I am talking about the specific serrations on the 0350 I know some serrations are better than others.

I'd get the plain edge version, the serrations don't look particularly effective, nor would they be all that desirable on a knife with such a heavy recurve.

I have two 0350's. One plain edge and one with serrations. I guess that makes me the guy you want to talk to? LOL! It's all personal preference of course, but if I was going to order a third 0350 I'd get the plain edge. I found the serrations on this particular knife to be less than impressive. If I'm going to have them, I want them to be aggressive and SHARP - I was let down on these. After using them, they dulled fairly quickly and are so close together I struggle to sharpen them to my content.
Hope this helps you out some. Happy buying!

If you sharpen your own blades, I'd recommend getting the plain, and putting a coarse (600-800 grit) edge on the forward half of the recurve. That way in a draw cut, you have the aggressive slicing action that you seem to be seeking, and having created it yourself, can then fine-tune it to your liking. Sandpaper over a roll of kitchen towel should give you enough 'give' in to get right in there.

Hope this helps!
