I’m on the market for a new edc. I work In an office Monday through Friday and on the weekends I do a lot of work in my garage making fixes blades. I have had good experiences with spyderco in the past but I’ve never had a ZT. Anybody have any suggestions.

I've had a 0450 for a while and just got a Para 3. To me the ZT seems like a better knife for office duty. I got a free deep carry clip from ZT and it carries very nice, takes up very little pocket.
Para 3 is a nice knife for sure, just a bit of a pocket hog for it's size and carries too high with the factory clip for my liking.

I prefer the Para 3, mostly BC I've gotten away from flippers and Im kinda bored with ZT.
The 0450 is a nice knife though. Very slim, nice profile, carries better, and the one I owned had an awesome flipping action.
The Para 3 is the better cutter, comes in more varieties, and feels more robust, despite the ZT being full Ti. To me, the Para also is more ergonomic and definitely provides more traction for a very secure grip.

PM3

Locks up better
Slices better
More ergonomic, especially w/ deep carry clip
More choices of steel
Lower price for the most part
Multiple carry positions
Spydie-flickable

As for others in the price range, maybe a Benchamde Mini-Grip 555-1.

I wouldn’t call myself a Spyderco fanboy by any means. I own/have owned many knives from many different manufacturers but between those two I’d choose Spyderco all day, every day, twice on Sundays:D Nothing against ZT I just feel that the Spydercos I own fit my wants/needs better. What are your wants/needs?

Between those two, in an office setting, I would give the PM3 the edge, since you can open it a little more friendly in company (IE not flick it). But if I was in an office all day I'd pick a modern slipjoint, BM Proper, CK/Lionsteel Shuffler/Dom/third one who's name I can't recall, maybe a JE Made. Lower profile, people friendly, gonna do everything you need, carry more comfortably.
