ZT 0462 stiff deploy?

So, I recently bought a ZT 0462 and noticed it takes a lot more force to deploy. I have plenty of assisted openers. ZT 0450, ZT 0220, Buck, Kershaw, etc..

Is this just something that breaks in?

I tried putting my purse down and then opening it but it's still difficult

Clean out the pivot. There may be some locktite in there. My 462 fired perfectly
out of the box. My 0470 had a stiff detent that quickly broke in but it was stiff.
I hosed it out with remoil and then lubed with something heavier and it became perfect.
I suspect gunk in the pivot is why the 0470 was stiff.

Clean, lube, tune. Then flip it a lot.

I honestly don't use much lube on the bearings, but the detent ball and track need it for sure.

The detent on some is stronger and will get easier with time. My 456 was the same way

I have a 0462 and find that it is extra sensitive to any pressure on the lock bar. When flipping it open, make sure your fingers are not touching the lock bar at all, and you may find that it fires open easier.

You are right!!! I am having a hard time as well and somehow the design of it makes my finger touch the lock bar when opening. But with a bit of my finger adjustment, it deploys perfectly! Thanks for your advice!!!
