From what I can see it looks pretty neat. What are your thoughts & opinions on this folder?

Does it give Benchmarks Mini Rukus a run for it's money?

Thanks in advance,

I personally have held the mini-ruckus. I compare it to the Spec Bump, but I dunno how to compare it with the 0500. Different steels, different uses, it's kinda like apples and oranges, IMO, but other people will chime in.
The 0500 will be "bigger/heftier" in your hand.

i like the 0500 and plan on getting one maybe this weekend!:D i agree with knivesandguns comments about it being apples and oranges. i've never handled a mini-ruckus before so i don't know how one feels. but i did handle the passaround 0500. it is a beefy folder, quite a handful. but that what i like about it. :)

It really depends on what your uses are & if you're going to wear gloves much. For me, or someone in LE &/or Military & using gloves, the Mudd's a better knife, IMHO. I think the Rukus might be better if you're going to use it w/o gloves. While I find the Mudd comfortable to handle, the Ruk's smoother to open/close & I think the G-10's smoother to the touch.

Personally, I prefer the Mudd, but that's me.

they are both in a different class. I would like to give the MUDD a try, which is why I am on the MUDD passaround.

BM, s30v, axis, micarta/g10.

ZT, 154cm(i think), g10, i don't know what the lock is called, but is really fun to play with. It is kind of like the axis, but it is not amidextrous.

I would hate to say I would go with the rukus, just because of the s30v, but I have lots of experience with ZT, and I love their heat treatments, so this would be a close call!

I've handled both the 0500 and the mini Rukus. I much prefer the ZT0500. Now, compared to my 610 Rukuses, I would have a hard time indeed trying to choose one over the other!
