I just traded a couple of Spydies I don't use for a ZT 0500. When they do come up fs they aren't cheap.

I know a little about them from Kniferatings and YouTube. If you had 1 or have 1 tell me about yours.

If you have a pivot tool/wrench you don't need I'd like to buy it.

I brought one to Honduras. Twice. I batoned it through many things. I buried it in foul-smelling.......sh--stuff, then coated it in sand. Then buried it on a dusty, dirt road. Everything washed right off. No grittiness in action. Lockup is still 100%.

I still have that knife--I carry it in my backpack--I'd trust my life to it.

Don't touch the pivot. It's perfect where it is.

I picked up a blem quite some time ago. it is a handful, and a great knife. I really like the blade shape - very versatile. I also like how the thumb studs on the top of the knife help to create a stronghold for your thumb when hard cutting. I sanded the G10 scales lightly and rounded off the edges to make the in-hand feel a little more comfortable.

I saw some pics of a few BF members who polished the hardware on the knife (pivot, thumb studs, scale screws) - really made a big difference in the appearance.

The only thing I am not crazy about is the pocket clip - I removed it from the knife so I now have to carry it in-pocket.

As far as a pivot tool - go to hardware store and pick up two of the cheapest 1/16" short drill bits you can find - these fit in the pivot holes great - just put them in opposite holes on the same side of the knife and turn.

Dig it. One freaking ass stout knife. Baton, stab, and have thrown it. Comes back every time with that " is that all you got" look to it.

I got my 0500 MUDD blem today. I asked other MUDD owners about yours. Great Knife. Is the pivot going to loosen up with use?

Other users have said don't do anything with the pivot. This is by far the stiffest pivot I've ever had on a knife!
