ZT 0500 will be coming my way soon!

I am so excited since it represents, for me, the neatest innovation ever in pocket knives. The sealed pivot and lock ought to be amazing! :D

So, what can you guys tell me about your 0500's?

I imagine the lock up is amazing and the action to be real smooth......

and yes I do realize there is a pass-around going on.......but I need you posts lotsa pics here...

thanks!
mike

Enjoy yours when it arrives, it's a great piece of work.
And remember, you asked, so it's only fair that you post pics of yours when it shows up.

thanks kneedeep!

I had forgotten about that thread.....it was the one that spurred my interest in the 0500!

It arrived yesterday. I will post a review with mostly pics later this afternoon. Thanks for the photos everyone!

Hey, can one of you guys who has a 0500 post a pic looking down at the spine and tip of the blade? I want to see how stout the tip is, from that angle. Thanks in advance.

photos will be up in a few!

Hey, sir... been a few. I'd really like to see how the tip strength is on this, before ordering one. In my neck of the woods, there aren't many opportunities to handle one of these.. Ok, well, I haven't even seen one in a brick and mortar yet.

Ditto on that :p I've been looking this thread over and others on the Mudd
It looks like a real tough bugger. I have been setting monies aside, for a BM 740 Dejavoo, now I'm not so sure?? I am leaning towards the Muddy arrrrrrrg

I hear you, sir. I handled a RAM the other day, with the same lock, and it was very very interesting. I assume that the Mudd will be just as cool, but stouter, of course.

Interesting to note that the steel used for the MUDD lock in the Hawk's custom is not quite as tough as the steel used by Kershaw. I've owned a BM 740, and while it is a very strong knife, the MUDD has it beat hands down. I'll take a MUDD anyday over the BM 740.

SPX

Thanks for the info, in one sense, I'm trying to compare Apples to Oranges.
The BM 740 is more of urban knife, while the MUDD is a heavy duty, "you talking to Me" knife ;)
