I ordered a carbon fiber G10 replacement scale for the Zero Tolerance 0550/0551 First Generation knife.

However, my 0550 is actually a Gen 2.

Question: Should I keep the order because the Gen 1 scale may/will fit the Gen 2?

(I have the option of cancelling the order anytime this weekend).

I think the scales are the same size but the holes for the pocket clip are different. So I guess as long as you are planning on putting the clip on the Ti side it would work but that is just a guess. I have never had a Gen1 knife.

I think you're right at least as far the pocket clip holes. My Gen 2 0550 has the holes punched vertically whereas the CF scale has it horizontally. See photos below. I actually keep the clip on the titanium side anyway.

However, the real question is whether the dimensions and the main screw holes are the same?

Yup, size and hole placement for body/pivot screws are identical. Only difference is the clip.

Thanks all. Much appreciated.

I'm keeping the order and the 0550 Gen 1 CF scale for the 0550 Gen 2.

I'm hoping it has a similar feel as the CF scale on my new 0560CBCF, that is, just enough grip, easy on the palm and looking great.
