ZT 0550 Lockbar Cutout Question

I thought I had read on the forums here (I could be mistaken) at one point that there might have been issues with the ZT 0550 that had the wider cutout for the lockbar than the one that had an almost laser type cutout. I am getting ready to start looking for a 0550 in earnest and want to make sure I won't run into any thing going forward.

If I am totally wrong, is there anyone who knows why the differnce in the cutout widths?

As time goes by, knives can go through changes. You'll see minor tweaks as the generations come and go. Some are for esthetics, others improve efficiencies on the factory floor, others assist in performance.

The lockbar cutout change was for esthetics. There are no performance differences, and certainly were no issues with the either versions.

I have the 560, 300, 302, 400, and 350TS and can't wait to grab the 0550 as well. Love these knives.
