ZT 0550 Replacement Steel Lock Bar Insert

I've had my ZT0550 for 10 years now and also customized the knife with Ti hardware and clip. I love this original overbuild ZT, but my lock bar is on it's way to touch the opposite side. Especially with heavy use. Also the steel detent ball has quite a big flat spot which weakens the detent.

I can't find anything on the internet regarding replacement inserts. I don't reside in the US, so can't send the knife in, but I can have parts shipped to me. Does anyone know where I can get a lock bar insert, or is my only option to contact ZT Customer service? They will probably ask me to send the knife in so that's going to be a problem.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I don't think the insert 0550s were even out 10 years ago.

I'd call/email Kai and see if they'll mail you what you need, I've had good luck with their customer service.

Thanks I'll try that. It was when they just came out with the insert. I remember the one I ordered had no lock bar insert and when I received the knife It had one and did not know what to make of it 😆
