I just got my ZT 0550 from Kershawguy today and I love it. It came pretty sharp and I am very impressed with the knife overall. But I want to sharpen it on my Edge pro and it's easier to rest on the blade table if I remove the thumb studs. But I am used to the Benchmade studs with the torx assembly. Does anyone know if the thumb studs are threaded?
 
The pin is one piece and pressed in. You'd risk really buggering it up unless you have a hydraulic press with a non-marring ram. No way it would be worth the trouble, IMO.
 
I thought it might be press fitted but I wan't sure because when I sharpened a friend of mine's HK 14300 they appeared to be pinned but they were actually threaded. But thanks for the information :)
