Hey guys,

I recently purchased a ZT 0550BLK from kershawguy (great dealer btw) and couldn't be happier with it. However, upon opening it I managed to drop it right on my driveway, leaving a nice scratch on the once flawless blade. Don't get me wrong, I'm a firm believer in using my knives, I was just hoping to get that "honeymoon" phase of a perfectly new ZT for a while. Any tips on trying to fix the scratch? I've tried WD40 and soap and water, none of which seem to work. I'm pretty sure I scratched the DLC. Anyways, advice is welcome, thanks for reading!

Accidents happen. Here is what you can do:

1- get over it, use the knife as you would any superbly built knife from ZT.
Or
2- use a sharpie color a dot on it. Be more careful with those butter fingers and refer to step one.
;)

Nope you're screwed, now you have to use it to make the rest of the blade match!

This is the most awesome response ever.

Best thing to do is use the hell out of, buy another one swap them out when you come in the house and go to dinner or show your buds. I always buy two of everything I like for this very reason. I use my ZT to do everything at work and out in the yard and there's a brand new ZT550 setting next to my bed to play with when watching football. OH MY GOD DID I SAY FOOTBALL ,sorry I'm jonsin. LOL Enjoy the memories thats what every scratch means to me.
