What do you guys think of it? I have one in the mail. Sort of a jump on a deal type of thing. It was that or the 0550. Elmax over S35Vn? Hope I made the right choice.

Where did you purchase yours? I have been kicking around getting a 0560 but don't care for flippers.

Got it on here from another member. Brand new and a good price so I had to take it. And I was thinking the same thing I didn't want a flipper but wanted elmax

LOVE mine. you made a good choice. i also chose the 0551 instead of the 0550 for the steel. not that either is bad, both are excellent. but everything i've read says Elmax is a baby step up, so i figured i'd try it out. haven't had to sharpen mine yet, but i don't THINK it'll be too appreciably different.....
AND i also happened to like the scale pattern better on the 0551.
great blade, you'll love it.
btw, i just put a blue/black G10 textured scale on mine. got it from Rival1314 here on BF. he makes great aftermarket scales that are very reasonably priced. just in case you eventually want to mix it up a little.

That looks great! Mine came with an extra orange scale with the 'frag' texture. This thing is an absolute tank of a knife. I just got to my mail box about 10 minutes ago and can't put it down. I'm getting a bullet beadz stabilizer for the lock bar and eventually get some of those scales I like that a lot. I'm gonna order a 0550 to take to work and this beauty is gonna be my edc when I'm not at work. I'm weird like that. I have 2 of everything pretty much, one for work and one for me. I'm a union ironworker and I destroy absolutely everything on the bridges and high rises I work on.. Horse of a knife and is definitely my favorite folder thus far !

Good choice on the ZT-0551!!
I have one with the Monkey Frag, Coyote brown G10 scales - absolutely love it!!
