I just got my ZT 0551 in the mail today. I can't sit here and give a review because I haven't had a chance to use it yet. The one thing I can't get out of my head though is how beefy this knife is! I mean this thing is stout. I was really quite surprised with how thick the handle and blade is. It is quite heavy for its size. With that said the knife is so well balanced it doesn't feel heavy in your hand or pocket. I am really excited about this knife. I am sure it is going to find its self in my pocket a lot.

Heavy for its size, really? I find it very light for its size.

Not that its a bad thing. If you aren't use to carrying a knife made of mostly titanium then I would say it heavy for its size. Again not that its bad. One of the most balanced and comfortable knives I have ever held.

Welcome to the wonderful world of overbuilt folders. :)

I guess so! I have been carrying it around ever since I got it. I have been pretty impressed with it. Not obtrusive in the pocket and very comfortable to use.

You have a really great value of a knife - congratulations! It will break in with use. If the blade is centered - great. If it is off-center - towards the G10 side - the pivot screw is too loose - turn it slightly CW. If it's closer to the stop bar side - the blade is tight (stiff), turn the pivot screw slightly CCW. A small rotation makes a large difference. Be sure to use a good quality driver - Torxx size T8. The Kershaw keychain driver kit, the Benchmade kit, and even the Lowe's "Kobalt' driver kit come with that size driver. It'll likely need adjustment again as it breaks in. I was so excited with this knife that I found a way to afford a second one last year. I haven't been this excited over a framelock high quality blade knife since I bought my Kershaw 1725SG2 - a Ti/SG2 JYDII. Sadly, that's been gone for years. My first ZT - a 0301 - is great, but a moose. The clunky 0551 is actually 'svelte' in comparison - and bumped the 0301 out of the occasional carry - and intrudes into my 24/7 EDC duties, too! Great knife - enjoy it!
