I have an 0560 that I am in limbo with. I tried to trade it but nothing so far. One of my favorite blades is my Spyderco military, because of the full flat grind. On the other hand, I like the in hand ergos of the 0560. Has anyone ever thought about, or seen an 0560 that has been reground to FFG? Also, can anyone see a problem with doing this? I just love the slicing ability of my military. I was thinking of making a jig to grind it on the surface grinder at the shop, but I would probably just try and find a reputable individual on the forum to undertake this. If it isnt traded in the next few days, this is going to become a reality I believe. Any suggestions as to who would be a sure bet for a good outcome on the work would be helpful as well.

Thanks!!!

I remember seeing a reground 0560 before. It wasn't FFG but it was a high flat. I believe they took the original grind of the 0560 and made the angles steeper. It might have been a Krein regrind. You can probably find it in the Kershaw/ZT archive.

As far as who, there is another recent thread going around asking who does regrinds since Krein has stopped.

That's the best I've got, sorry.

I do remember seeing that high grind. Also (I beleve it was Seelow) did an awesome blade shape reprofile of an 0560 by dropping the top edge.

What is everyone slicing so thin all the time? I've used my 0560 in everything from food prep to cutting zip ties to cutting cardboard. I also have a Military and honestly when used the same, I don't see much of an appreciable difference.

I've seen one that's full Ti, shortened, and with a wharncliff regrind that's flat ground it looks like.
