ZT 0560 Clip on a Skyline

I decided I really didn't like how far my Skyline stuck out of my pocket and decided to try and find a different clip. I looked and looked and all I could find was a clip I would have to dremal the holes out on for it to fit. I didn't really want to do that and then I found This thread saying about how the ZT 0560 clips will fit any of the knives with the Skyline style clip. I instantly got a clip and here is what it looks like

I think it looks really good, it also bolts right on and it is so much better in the pocket

I tried this mod, but wasn't a huge fan of how the new clip rode on the Skyline. Since I carry my Skyline clip down anyway, I put the clip from my Piston on it. The Piston clip only really gives at most 1/4" deeper carry, but in the tip down configuration it's all that I need.

I had seen Rival's thread a while back and I hoped to pick up a 0560 style clip real soon, or three. Too bad this would not work on a Leek due to the angle of the screws but that might be solved by a slight modification ;)

I picked up 2 clips because I wanted to see if it would work on my Shallot (same clip as the Leek) and it wasn't even close to fitting like that. The ZT clip is so narrow it can fit in between the screws for the Shallot clip and barely touch the screws  You would have to drill and tap new holes :(

Nice! Here's mine

Thanks for the heads up  Guess the Blur is a no go either. I would like to add one to my JYD using the body screw opposite the pivot, and then somehow mod the g10 with a t-nut (an itty bitty one at that). The one (and only) time I wish the liner was not drilled out

I have my user orange Skyline set up tip up with the Piston clip, and I really like the slightly deeper carry; also like the slightly higher carry of the Piston with the Skyline clip mounted tip up.

I have done this on a CF Blur, a Leek, a ZT350, 650, and a 302. It works really well for all of them. The only thing that kinda bothers me about it is I wish they offered some in black. But since I am able to deep carry the knives I can easily live with the clip color.

Did you have to drill and tap the holes for the Blur and Leek?

The swap makes perfect sense. Because the holes on the Piston are geared toward a lower carry, swapping the Skyline and Piston clips means that the knives carry with about the same amount exposed.
