I am wondering if in the future zt will update the 0560 line. I would love to see a steel lock bar insert! In my opinion this is the only thing the 0560 is missing. I highly doubt it would ever happen but I would also like to see a tanto version of the 0560. What would you guys like to see in the future line of the 0560?

Like you suggest - more blade options. Maybe an anodized black version. Maybe some scale color options.

A steel lockbar insert would be nice. A spanto blade would be great as well and of course various blade steels.

if you are looking for upgrades, you arent doing it right. I daily use my 561 and really dont see a need for upgrade. I absolutely love elmax as its very tough, edge retention is awesome, and with a wicked edge, it just persists like no other. Proper sharpening does make a massive difference

A smooth handled version with frame texture like the 0560CBCF. The G10 will also be contoured like the CBCF's scale.

I think a hollow ground spanto would be cool. Maybe runs in different steels. Scales from Rick Hinderer would be nice, like they did for the 0550. To be honest though, I think my 0560CBCF is as close to a perfect knife for me as I've ever handled. If they got the elmax issues taken care of, or switched to S35VN or something like Bohler K110 (stainless D2 equivalent), I think the standard 0560 would be nearly as awesome as well. Especially for $260. Cause as of now I'd take a 0560 to any Strider I've ever owned.

Elmax supposedly runs circles around s30v and s35vn if the heat treat is done right. But it sucks on the 0560.

I'd like to see an equivalent of a 3in XM-18. I think there is a big market for smaller ZTs .

Any thing can be improved my friend!!!!!!

That's what I've heard. They run it fairly soft to begin with though and it sound like they're burning the temper out of the edge. That leads me to believe it isn't as resistant to heating up as other steels, or it just has to be done differently.

And by a smaller version, I assume you mean a smaller version that doesn't skimp out on materials used on the original, correct? I think a 3" 0560 with kvt and titanium would be awesome. Maybe with a .125" thick blade and CC style scales like the 0560CBCF to make it more EDC friendly.

I'm happy with my CBCF's and would like to add a 0560BW.

Actually, how about the ZT0566 "way into the future upgrades" discussion? :D:):p

A manual locking lock stop, SW blade and SW Titanium on both sides and one day a cheaper version with 8cr13 steel Blade and lockside so I could buy 10.

They could make it a bit thinner behind the edge. I've carried my 0561 more than any other knives and it's a great knife for sure but it's too thick behind the edge IMO. It would cut so much better if they thinned it out a bit.
