You have nothing to worry about. I dont know the exact video in question but I do know this, 1. Many people think they are knife experts and jack up their own knives after making "corrections" and then blaming the company for not making it idiot proof 2. EVERY Company occasionally puts out a bad knife here or there. I have never heard of a knife company that is flawless. Some come close but non are. The 560 is a very popular model and there arent many reports of "legitimate" issues. Most are personal preference and opinions pushed as facts. 3. KAI has the absolute best warranty of ANY knife company. I have never heard of them denying a warranty claim. If you get the 560 and there is an issues they WILL take care of it. But I would say you have little to worry about. Especially if you got it from a reputable seller.
EDITED TO ADD: I did see the video your talking about. That seems very odd. I have seen one other 0560 video where the lock up failed like that. But if there is only 2 knives out of thousands, thats some good odds. And I dont know any of the people who made the videos or where they got their knives. If the knife was used and someone before him went disassembling the knife and adjusted the lock bar for a weaker detent it could cause that issue. But the lockbar seems to have more than ample engagement. So it may just be one of those knives that slipped through. Still I wouldnt worry about it. KAI will take care of you if you need them to.
