ZT 0561 Second Gen

I didn't knot that the ZT 0561 has a second gen they change the lock bar and the stone wash on the blade is much nicer now . I purchase the 0561 just because they are now discontinued . This might be old news for some but I was surprise by the lock .

Not sure if you are aware but the very first run of the 0560/0561 had a bead blasted Ti lockside, so I guess you could say there are 3 gens of the 0560

The 560 looks more like a bead blast but I wasn't sure if it was . thanks for the correction .

Yours are both stonewashed Ti, here is a pic (not mine) of a blasted one

Sorry didn't read the your first post . The handle is what bead blasted . The blade on the 560 looks like it was bead blasted .

Here's something else you might not have known. The first gen 056X weighed 5.8oz and had milled out sections on the Ti framelock. When they released the 0560BW, the weight of the 056X series changed to 6.4oz when ZT stopped milling out the Ti side. Now the third gen 056X all have steel lock bar inserts.

I didn't know about the bead blasted 0560's.

The black wash model has no lock stick. DLC coating on the blade and lock bar prevent Ti from sticking to the blade tang.
