Just received my new ZT 0562 Carbon Fiber yesterday. Had to give a little extra to get it, but I've paid much more for for less knife. If you haven't held one yet, let me just say that it is a well deserved knife for anyone into folders. Near perfict in every aspect.

I am a knife newbie, but from the pics, that is a great looking knife! I will have to remember that one as I start my upgrade path!

Sounds good, but....

:D

I also recently purchased a 562 in the G10 and Elmax. Great knife for EDC, right size, smoothest flipper you can buy for the price. Well worth what they cost.

Ruudr was your preorder fulfilled or did you go else where? Either way congrats to you both.

No sadly I cancelled the pre-order. I bought one in Germany now. A lot more expensive I have to say. But I'm past the point that the extra price will bother me :D

It really is a great folder. I have the G10/Elmax version, but have been looking for the right deal to get my hands on an M390 version too. It amazes me how smooth mine is and I run it completely dry. Almost surreal.

I got mine back when they came out thanks to the towering generosity of a forum member who charged me what he paid for his preorder because he'd managed to score two of them. It is a knife that will always be in my collection, that's for sure. As you said, an exceptional amount of knife for the money.

G10/elmax version here. And I thought my 0561 was smooth, which it was, but this thing is on a whole other level. Perfect size, feels great in the hand, and I just love the slicer grind!

You guys are making me jealous! I keep trolling the dealer sites looking but can't ever catch one in stock.:grumpy:

They're pretty nice knives. My only gripe is the lack of a lanyard hole, and I wish it didn't have that "Lowrider clip". But I can live with the clip, and I found another spot for the lanyard anyways. I miss mine, it's out getting some custom scales by a fellow forumite, it'll be even nicer when I get it back.

I had to pull out the guts of the paracord to keep the lanyard from getting cut.

That works too. I just let mine get cut, then I took a flame to the frayed parts. It hardened the area contacting the blade so it wouldn't get cut. I've been using leather cord lately, I like it better, and it doesn't fray.

My 0562 is by far the nicest folder I've ever owned, not saying much but i know it stands tall amongst a crowd of boring knives these days. Better than many of the typical "perfect EDC knives" IMO.

Can't wait to score an M390 version but my diy bronze hardware and hopefully diy scales will make it just as good for less money.
