Hi folks. Im sorry if this has been mentioned. I am so busy I just dont have the time to search and find out. I have the CF M390 on pre order through BladeHQ. Does anybody know when KAI will be sending some of these out. I am not a patient person. This is also the FIRST time I have ever pre ordered anything in my life. I just love my 0561 so much, I fell in love at first sight.

No one knows for sure but if I had to guess it won't be til at least the summer. I pre-ordered one as well. I'm just trying to forget about it.
 
KAI doesn't give out ETA anymore for good reason, but I wouldn't expect it anytime soon. As Wharn said, summer is a good estimate, but delays happen so you never know. I have one on pre-order too, they look like some sweet blades.

Summer sounds good to me, in time for my Birthday. All I care, is that they lock up perfect. The design is already there.
 
Honestly preordering and then doing your best to forget is the best policy. Lets say there even was a date given. You dont want to get hung up on it as those "estimates" are rarely ever met and no one seems to be able to understand the actual definition of "estimate". Hopefully your preorder was place early. Its always sad when people pre order knives from the same dealer and then when other dealers who dont accept pre orders get stock people are still waiting for their pre order while everyone else is just buying the knives at random. These days I usually only pre order when something is going to be limited production and I want to secure an example. In the case of the 562 Id rather just wait to see some reviews as I know at SOME point it will be easy to find one and at a better price than the first waves.
 
Yeah, Im hoping that everything is perfect with the first wave. Ive never ordered a knife before like this. Since the big brother is my favorite knife ive ever owned. I pulled the trigger. Also I do plan on busting out a bunch of work on this model so that helps too.
But dang.

The design look simple enough and very well thought out. Ive also never used M390 before. With how much love I have for ELMAX, im sure I will only thoroughly enjoy it.
 
I can see the 562 being a great blade. You will likely love M390 if you enjoy Elmax. It holds its edge forever and it a perfect steel for a slicer blade such as the 562. Kershaw really knows want the customers want and they seem to hitting it out of the park a bunch lately, which can be hard on our wallets :D
