Hi All,

I need some feedback on these 2 knives. I have both in my possession and plan to return one or keep neither if another knife takes their place. I was looking for a manual ZT flipper that runs on KVT bearings and is not assisted so I narrowed it down to these two. I was considering a 0350 or 0350TS and "de-assisting" them but not sure how I feel about it.

The ZT0562CF is a tank. The lockup is strong, the action is super smooth. What I don't like is that it's a bit slippery, kind of boring, plain and little on the bigger side.

The ZT393 looks good. I like the 2 tone blade, the harpoon Spanto blade shape, the grippy handles, the fact that the lock side looks the same as the show side and it feels smaller in hand. Not sure I care for that line in the blade that makes it look more like a tanto? doesnt seem to have a function to me.

anything you guys can add?

P.S. I think the new 0393GLCF looks so boring! the blue/black combo of the 0393 looks so much better.

Both are great knives and since you already have them sounds like you already made up your mind anyway.

Both are great.
I own both and I prefer the 0393 (black/blue)... but Really it is just a question of personal taste

Is the lockup on the 0393 of any concern? the lockbar appears to be thinner and on this one engages at less than 40%. Also, does that line in the blade suit a purpose at all or is it just for looks?

I have one well actually both lol they are good knives

If you had to choose one. which would it be?

I'm leaning more toward the 393 because of the grippiness of the G10. Also, are there CF scales for this model yet? I think the blue would look great with CF.

It locks you in pretty good and Im a Ti freak anyway lol. Carbon fiber isnt very grippy in my experience G10 is better in that regard

Don’t rely on / assume success on de-assisting a Speedsafe knife. I’ve attempted many and they all sucked and I returned them to their assisted state.
They are not meant to be de-assisted, or else we all would have done that and much joy and celebrating would have occurred. If only it was that easy. The detent s, or lack of, make for a crap setup.
You’ve got two awesome knives - some of ZT’s best. I have no idea why you’d get rid of either, but whatevs.
