So I got a new 566 and have been really disappointed with the centering. It comes over and rubs against the liner opposite the lock bar. After I tighten the pivot to get it centered past halfway it only takes about 20 flips and it's back over against the opposite liner. Anyone have issues with this? Its so disappointing because I really like the knife but it ridiculous how fast it starts to rub the liner.

Either use some blue lock tight, apply and adjust until centered, then let dry over night, or use some plumbers (Teflon) tape and wrap around the threads. Welcome to the forums by the way. :)

Cheers,
Kirby

9blades is correct. Blue lock tight will keep it locked in place.

My Benchmade 710 was the same way. After about 8 flips it would loosen and blade play would occur. After the blue, it hasn't moved since. That was probably 10 months (ish?) ago.

Thanks for the suggestions! Part of me thinks that you shouldn't have to do that to a knife you paid 140 for, but I guess things happen.
And thanks, good to be here. I got into knives about 4 month ago and now I'm totally hooked!

I generally feel the same way, but these knives are assembled by humans, and by nature we make mistakes. :)
