I was outside enjoying my ZT 0566. I was flipping it open repeatedly when out of nowhere it lost spring tension and the blade didn't deploy all the way. I closed it and tried again, but still, it would not open all the way. It's like the knife just decided it wanted to be a complete manual opener.
Am I the only one to experience this unusual phenomenon?

Your spring could have broke,..its unlikely but not impossible. I would check the scale to see if the screws are loose, if they are the spring could have slipped out of the pocket it resides in.
Most likely the spring slipped out of the detent hole in the blade. If this is the case, a few minutes tweaking the spring with a pair of pliers (giving it a slight bow) so that the spring stays in the hole..
....hope this helps and welcome to the forum!

The knife is 10x better manual anyways at least mine was flipped great and felt like it was on glass

My big issue is that the 566 isn’t even made from titanium. It is a steel framelock. For that price I feel like it is just a tricked out Kershaw Cryo.
My only ss frame lock and man the lock is terrible sticks and has pretty bad lock push

This is not uncommon for Kershaw/ZT knives with the SpeedAssist mechanism. Visit their site and fill out the warranty form/ send their customer service team an email and they should send you a replacement spring.

Same thing happened on my Cryo and they sent me a spring free of charge.
