has anyone else noticed that the 0566 doesnt have as strong as a flick as some others? it seems to require more force to open than my 770, i've polished EVERYTHING i could think of , the washers, the blade itself, the pivot pin everything has been polished(not at one time but sow keep trying to solve), is there anything else i could do?, i took a buffing wheel to everything to a mirror on everything.

I think it's just a heavier blade and deploys slower...I think a lot of people like that knife deassisted

My 566 fires pretty fast in comparison to others. But there is that blade weight/balance difference. Although my sample has a very strong detent, so by the time it breaks loose, a lot of pressure has been built up on the flipper, giving a lot more force on the motion.

yeah it doesnt seem to help that much, i think im just asking too much of it, i want it as zippy as my 770

No doubt, the 0770 is pretty zippy, my 0350 is much slower if comparing it to that...I feel my 0350 opens pretty good though...I will have a 0566bw to compare it to tomorrow

I have found on autos and most spring assisted knives that some break in is required

i ramped the detent hole a tiny bit(held blade in hand and took dremel grinding wheel attachment and just rolled it by hand) and it seems to be loads better

well i seem to have finally gotten it how i want

i polished all the washers, the pivot pin, the detent ball, the frame the washers are on i re-bent the spring to increase the load and i slightly bent the frame lock so it didnt push as heavily (tested 200 flips no non locks locks at like 40% of blade). and now it fires really well just like the 770
