I purchased the 0566 as an early Christmas present to myself. I liked the design, and after owning a 0350 had been bitten by the ZT bug.

I work in the commercial security field- so I pretty much use my knife on a daily basis. From opening boxes to stripping wire to using it as a screwdriver when necessary. I had also purchased a Benchmade Griptilliam around the same time.

The Grip is still in the box. That's how much I love the 0566. Assisted opening and all. I truly feel that this knife is the perfect EDC blade. I have hard used this knife for three months now and haven't had to sharpen it. It still slices through paper like it did when I pulled it out of the box. I am highly pressed with the Elmax steel.

I will definitely own another Hinder designed ZT before long. Maybe a black washed version. In any case, this is an excellent knife that I would not hesitate to recommend.

I have a 0566 for a short stint and sold it for future car funds (I really shouldn't have sold it). I wholeheartedly agree with you when you say, it's the perfect EDC knife. It rides very well in the pocket, great ergonomics and user friendly blade shape, and it can take a beating. There are only two things I think ZT could do to improve it.

- Give it a contoured scale, akin to the 0561

- More aggressive jimping on the blade spine base

Yep I think it's great too. I work in industrial maintenance. I use my knives hard, but don't abuse them. I have cut conveyor belts with my 0566, but I usually carry my 0350brn because I wear cargo pants to work. It's not a pocket hog if you have room. 0566 is my hard use weekend knife. Both are excellent.

It is my favorite folding knife and I agree with Ttran that contoured scale would be awesome!

Mine is the blackwashed edition and it's much nicer IMHO.

One thing I do not care for is the deep carry clip, I wear it IWB and find it hard to grip when pulling it out. ( I know, stubby fingers and I am prob alone in this)

I love my 0566s. Original and BWCF. If they eventually make one in Ti it just might be my sub-3.5" EDC user Grail.

I really love mine too.. but recently I have been considering trading it for something bigger.
