The Torsion Bar just broke in my ZT0566 and I have not had it very long and I was just wondering do these things tend to brake a lot or is this just a fluke.

Fluke probably because its new. They tend to break after a lot of use.

Just call ZT and they will send you a new one, no biggie.

I had the torsion bar break quickly in a Blur, Leek, and ZT 0300. The replacements have lasted much longer, no breaks since then.

Call em up! I'm not sure how long the torsion bars are supposed to last. I've had an omega spring break in a mini griptilian. So maybe:) we both just open our knives a lot

Sorry you are having trouble. As scurvy said, call them up and they will get you one or two in the mail. If you remove your broken t-bar you can still use the knife with just the detent until your new one shows up. Hope that helps.

Not sure if this applies here but if you sit and open and close and assisted knife rapidly long enough it will heat up the torsion bar which will cause it to break.

You might like it better without the torsion bar.

I was thinking the same thing as my Father was messing around with it,I guess it's going to be hands off for him from now on.

Some of these knives are just too dang addictive when it comes flipping them open and closed for hours on end. :D

Thankfully the torsion bars are a piece of cake to replace, unlike omega springs. Also, the knife is still completely functional without it unlike omega springs.
