Is anyone else picking up a carbon fiber 0566?? I just ran across it on kershawguy.com and was surprised to see it in stock along with a new all brown leek and a anew blue leek

Knife is same besides scale but CF makes it lighter witch may make knife carry different.

Specs list the weight as 5.3oz, which is identical to the weight of the standard 0566. This is per the tech specs listed at bhq's site. Looks like a cosmetic difference.

ZT lists the same specs. Maybe BHQ just pulled it straight from there. Could it be possible the weight was overlooked? It's hard to believe the CF model isn't lighter than the G10, even if only by a fraction.

Either that or the CF is thicker but that seems odd. To me, the cut in weight would be the point to getting the 566CF.

I'd see it as another option for someone who isnt a collector or someone who doesnt have the original 566. IMO its a great blade in either config.

Had to jump on this. CF trendy? Maybe, but I love the way it looks.

Given that we're talking about a single, pretty thin scale, there isn't really enough volume of material for the cf to make much of a difference in weight. Most of the weight of the 0566 is from all of that steel.

I agree I find it very hard to believe the carbon fiber scale weighs the same as the G-10.....I could be wrong but going off past knives and what I know of the two materials its hard to believe

I see what ur saying about it being only one thin scale weight cant be that much of a difference but if both scales are same size the carbon fiber one is lighter. They should be able to weigh the difference out on a scale but I maybe wrong never know lol

You were right im not sure how much 3 grams will matter when it comes to carrying but its something some people worry about lol

Just having fun, sir :) The subject of weight is a lolbutton for me ever since I saw a Nutnfancy EDC video where he pulls out 6 blades after hammering weight in every review.

I saw it on KG's website earlier this morning. I like it... For the last month or so, I've been dealing with a CF fetish :D

Just came today, and it's pretty sweet:
