Been looking for something a bit smaller than a lg sebenza to carry when I anticipate more rugged usage than I want to put my alan davis sodbusters through.
Looked at numerous chinese flippers but never pulled the trigger.
Usually zt is too over built for me and the blades are far from "slicy".
Fast forward about 2 years, I walk into the local gun store with a 20% off coupon and I see the 0609. Bingo, it followed me home and I have been carrying/using it for a month.
I love it, just what I have been looking for. I am about ready to put my own edge on it, I have had luck with this steel Leaving off at dmt coarse and then LIGHTLY stropping on denim stretched over oak with .5mic diamond slurry.
Anyway, I will check in after I sharpen and use for a bit, this one has me excited, havent bought a production folder in a year or so.

I just got my 0609 and 0462 in last week. I am very impressed with both knives. I was surprised I liked the 0609 as much as I did being how small it is. Awesome knife

Agreed - there's a lot to like about the 0609. The milling and finish is very good, as is the action on my sample. Really like the shape/design, but understand that's subjective. The minimal gimping on the flipper tab, handle, and blade is perfect.

The blade designs on the 0920 and 0850 kept my money in the wallet. The 0609 got it right IMO.

The 0609 is remarkable because it seems small, but it has a 3.4” blade. That only .4” shorter than the much longer looking 0452.

Wow.
It is a thin blade for ZT.
How is the thickness behind the edge?
