Just noticed both of these at discounted rates at several dealers. Are they being dropped from the lineup?

Due to the Minimum Advertised Pricing in place, the only way they are allowed to discount them, is if they are in fact discontinued. I would say they have to be at this point. Such a great model.

That stinks. I find it irritating that ZT seems to discontinue the solid "hard use" blades like the 550,560, and now the 620 Series to make room for artsy blades, overrated collabs, or thin little slicers. I wonder how much time the rest of the 56X Series has, yet the 350 with its ugly pocket clip and recurve blade keeps on soldiering on?

ZT will discontinue anything that doesn't sell well. The good news is that with each discontinue, production capacity is freed up for new production and limited edition models.

The old zt is gone. They first were all about hard use knives for military and law enforcement. Now its just over built fancy knives.

What about the 0630? That is still a decent option, maybe better than the 0620.

I wonder how many people really use hard these heavy titanium bricks. I'd like to see more <4 oz. ZT's.

I think the 0620 makes a great house/yard work knife. Stout, smooth, and easy to handle and open with gloves. I am sad to see it go, but I look forward to seeing what ZT will introduce next.

This is exactly it. It isn't selling well so it's discoed. Not that hard to understand is it?

" hey ZT could you do me a solid and continue selling these knives that don't sell well? Yeah..that'd be great..."

I love my 0620 hate to see it come off the production list but i agree with juju. Sometimes you have to make tough decisions for the good of the company. This knife embodies everything I love about ZT and Emerson.

If they were selling the discontinued models, then they would not be discontinued.

Kai Cutlery is a business and only in business to make money. They make business decisions.

But, I personally feel that they need to take a hard look at their pricing structure. Are these models not selling because people don't want these models or are they not selling because they are overpriced and dealers cannot lower the price due to MAP pricing guidelines??

Pricing on many knives today is ridiculous and way overpriced. Benchmade, Spyderco, and Zero Tolerance all seem to keep pushing the pricing envelope and people seem to keep paying more and more for no good reason. The market has become irrational and a correction is close at hand.

I agree that prices seem to be trending up much faster than inflation, sometimes under the guise of MAP. I hope a correction does occur. I find myself sitting on the sidelines more and more when it comes to making new purchases from companies that I used to happily support.
