ZT 0770 Question.

Well, it's about time for me to get a new knife and I plan on doing so next week.
I've always had my eye on the ZT 0770 since I found out that it would be coming out this year.
My only issue, is I'm not a huge fan of assisted opening especially on a knife that's bigger than 7 inches overall.
My question is, does it have a detent if you take out the torsion bar?
Because the ZT 0350 works wonderfully as a manual flipper and I was wondering if you can do the same with the ZT 0770?

It'd be great if someone is able to tell me. I'll honestly probably end up with the knife anyways, but if it doesn't have that option I may end up with something else.

Thanks in advance for any info!

Thanks,
Jessie

My understanding is that the 0770 has a detent independent of the assist. I just bought one from another forum member, and deassisting it is the first thing I plan to do after taking it out of the box!

It works fine as a manual flipper once you remove the torsion bar. Not as snappy a flipper like the ZT 0801.

There are some videos in the thread ZT 0770 is in stock at Knifecenter!

Also, the current 0770 has aluminum handles and apparently the 0770CF with carbon fiber handles won't be out until early next year.

I planned to get the aluminum version and then maybe get some scales made for it. =] That's awesome, I think my decision on the knife I'm getting is made now.
Thanks for all of the info guys!

I know it won't be as snappy, and that's fine, I just want it to work. I think it'd be the perfect manual flipper.

Thanks so much!
