Hi I am looking to get one of these, do any of you have it? How does the bronze finish look after being carried? I'm really curious to see how they look worn in.

I’m a big fan of the 0801 series and I really regret not buying this knife when it came out about a year and a half ago. If you can find a good one it’s gonna cost about $100 over what they originally sold for. Not sure how well it wears, but I have 2 gold 0452g10s. One new and the other I bought slightly used on eBay, and the gold color seemed to wear off pretty easily on the outer-most edges despite the knife being otherwise barely used.

It's possible to simply reanodize the knife if you are concerned about the color fading or getting scuffed; you can do it yourself at home if you have the equipment or have someone else do it, there are many people providing that service. In fact, I don't quite understand the price hike for this knife when you can get the same result buying a ZT 0801ti and having it anodized bronze aftermarket for a significantly lower cost.

Probably has to do with the steel. Only a few versions came with M390...the BRZ, the copperhead CF, and the BW copperhead. IMO the 0801brz looks way better than the copperhead versions.

Fair enough. I didn't know that the steel was different. I'm fine with S35VN from ZT and would be happy to pay less and not get the improved steel, but I can see why others would want M390.
