ZT 0801. Does it have over travel insert?

Can anyone tell me if the steel insert on the lock face also serves as a lock over travel (like on the Spyderco Tuff) device? Thank you.

Ah, so that's what KVT looks like...only owned one ZT with it and it was a catch and release. Are the cages a polymer of some sort?
