Does anyone use oil/lubricants on the pivot of knives with bearings, or just take them apart and clean out everything

Does anyone use oil/lubricants on the pivot of knives with bearings, or just take them apart and clean out everything

I do but they really don't need it, unless you're thinking about corrosion. However lubricating the detent ball/ track is VERY important concerning how smooth the knife opens/closes. A lot of people think the bearings are what make different bearing knives faster/slower but it really is the detent that is providing any kind of friction.
