Just got an 0801 and the action isn't as good as I thought it would be. At first it was pretty good but the pivot kept loosening after about 5 flips. Then I got tired of tightening it so often so I threw some loctite on the pivot. Now whenever I flip it, the pivot actually turns with the blade. I'm not sure how to describe it, but its almost like the bearings aren't causing the rotation of the blade, but the pivot itself is almost connected directly to the blade and spinning with it from the force of my flick. Did I put too much loctite? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Too much locktite. You glued the pivot screw to the blade. As long as you used blue locktite you should be able to break the bond and clean it out.

I did this once. It's exactly as abiggs described, loctite on the blade. I ended up having to take my knife apart to get it to how it was.

Next time, put 1 drop of loctite on the screw, then take a napkin and lightly dab the excess loctite until the threads of the screw have a very light coat of blue on them. It dosent take much loctite to work. Less is more:thumbup:

+1

But also remember to let the loctite cure for 24hrs.

Thanks so much guys, I scared the hell out of myself with this lol. I'll clean the loctite off and redo it later. Thanks again, guys!

When trying to fix it If the pivot just spins when trying to back out the screw squeeze the blade closed so it puts pressure on the stop pin while you try to turn the screw. This should prevent the pivot from spinning and you can back it out.

I have two T8 screwdrivers so I'll hold one in the back of the knife while I use the other to unscrew the pivot! Thought about that one already :-)
