ZT 200 or ZT 700?

I already have a ZT 561, and frankly I was considering getting the 560 as well, but then I figured that'd be a waste of money since they're identical knives except for the handle color.

That said, I don't know if I want the 200 the 700. I like recurves, but I'm not sure how I feel about that thumb-ramp on the 200. Purpose of this knife is for EDC self-defense. Please don't recommend any assisted-openers; I don't think those are legal here. Technically they aren't actually prohibited by law, but eh...

The thumb ramp on the 0200 is excellent.

I say go with the 0200 it's got great ergos a a nice blade shape and its ssoooooo lite weight:p

As I said in your other thread. If you are comfortable disassembling the knife get a 0400. You could easily remove the tortion bar and have a recurve manual tanto. That would be my choice for what your intentions are. Its got great traction, and is big yet still skinny with the aluminum handles.

The problem isn't with the legality of carrying such a knife. It's with even getting the knife to me. If it gets inspected by customs, goodbye knife. Trust me, if I knew a way to get the knife to me without issues, I'd have dozens of assisted openers now.

As pointed out above, it's not technically illegal, but often the line is blurred between assisted-openers and automatics (or gravity knives, for that matter). Without me standing there to slowly explain the difference between an auto and AO, it's likely just going to get impounded without question.

buy from an individual instead of a company

Wouldn't change a thing.

I've had knives declared as "outdoor camping tool," and "outdoor equipment/gear," and still had them held up by customs for inspections. I'm pretty much resigned to the fact that it will get inspected. It even clears sometimes -- meaning FedEx actually updates the tracking to say that the package has cleared -- only to get held up at the X-ray stage.

0700 is hard to flip without wrist action. It smaller than 0200. But it got no recurve on edge - its easy to sharpen.
0200 got really nice 3-d machined g-10, it's heavier in size and weight (0700 got skeletonized liners), it's pivot bolt is really heavy duty.
Personally, i'd prefer 0200

Well, since most of the recommendations here are for the 200 because of the handles, ergonomics and blade shape, I decided to get the ZT 100, since I prefer fixed blades in general, as well as the 700.

See this is where explaining the reasons and situations behind it would help immensley.
That does make sense as to why you do not want one.
You should have just said something to that effect in the first thread in general or in the original post here. Not trying to be a dick, just explaining it for future reference, it would have saved a bit of time:)

Indeed it would've. :p

I will make a mental note to be more specific regarding such circumstances in the future.
