I just bought a JYD on that one website what sells everything, but now i'm looking at the ZT200 and wondering if i should have bought that instead

Is the 154CM blade on the ZT better in quality than the D2 on the composite for hard use?

The price is about double, but if its THAT much better, it might be worth it to me, and i still have time to get a refund on the JYD before it ships

Let me say I don't own a 0200. I do own a jyd2 cb, I can tell you that I love it. Its the knife that started my addiction. I used my jyd real hard for 3 year with zero problems. The D2 holds a working edge forever. The handle ergos are great. I cant say enough good thing about it.

Personally I like the CB JYD pattern a bit better. Had one as a beater for a few years now...Works like a dream.

been on the fence just pondering these two myself. I have the 1st kershaw incarnation of the JYD and love it for EDC hence my hesitation. I would like to see what the liner thickness looks like on these together before I decide but unfortunately finding either of these in my area is a no go.

As much as I love the JYDII (the lock is the same, it has better steel and blade geometry), the 0200 has the most amazing handle I've ever used. I only gave up mine because of the re-curved blade (and the 0560 is out). If you like the handle on the JYD then I would get that one, it's an amazing knife for the money. If you don't like the blade on the 0200 or the handle on the JYDII, get the 0560.:p

The handle on the 0200 is pretty much the same as the Specbump and the Specbump has, hands down, the most comfortable handle I've ever used. The JYD has a really comfortable handle as well, but doesn't have the molded to fit my hand feel the Specbump has. IIRC the locks bar thickness are very close with the 0200 being slightly thicker, but the JYD has a thicker then most all liner locks, liner lock, so no loss there. Personally I prefer D2 over 154, and the JYD is an excellent flipper. Personally, unless you just have the money to spend and really want a ZT, I'd go with the JYD. It may not be a ZT, but it is a tank of a knife non the less.

My view is skewed. My first JYD of any kind was the fantastic 1725SG2, a Ti framelock version of the JYDII. It was followed by a second one - a k-guy 'blem'. Third was a 1725CB 'blem' sold by an evilbayer as 'new', but in grey G10 with the fuselage pattern. My last JYDII was a black G10 1725CB from my wife. The regular CB JYDII are nice - but still, they are my least favorite locking folders - linerlocks. The grey one is neater - both D2 edged knives are nice - but those Ti/SG2 knives are fantastic - clearly my choice over a ZT-200 - and many other knives. Take them out of the equation - and I'll take the ZT over the CB JYDII's every day, despite the CB's admittedly preferred D2.

I love them both....but you have to live with tip down and ugly clip on the JYD, unless you you are able to fix it your self.;)

presz, if I could get a JYDII in the same configuration as yours, I'd do it right now. And didn't I tell you stop posting pictures of that Tyrade! Haha

I really wish they would've stuck with the 2-tone look. The 2.2 look reminds me too much of the Rake and I already have one of those.

Saw a pic of a guys knife, he went to radio shack, bought some metal etching stuff and gave his Rake the contrast that the JYD II has. If I were to get a JYD 2.2, id etch it.

Now that is something I would love to do or have done!!! How did you pull that off Chevy?

Apples vs. oranges as far as I'm concerned. I have both. The 0200 is a do just about anything folder that's a little heavy for some guys.

The JYD might be a better edc for some guys because of it's smaller size. I like the cpm d2 on the JYD....it holds an edge for a long time. The 154 cm

on the 0200 is great steel too. I like the cpm on the JYD better tho.

I carry my 0200 more...I really like big knives!
