My 300 seems to open very slow, there are times where the lock doesn't even engage. Are there replacement springs that can speed up the opening? Any other suggestions would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

Give Kershaw a call/email and they will send you a new torsion bar..or send the knife in and they'll take care of it.

I think they are supposed to open a bit slower. Look at the weight of the blade compared to that of the Leek or other knives. If it opened much faster, it would cause problems with the lockbar (harder repeated impacts would deform the Ti).

I have a 0300 and a Leek. The 0300 opens way slower because the blade is super heavy. I would recommend cleaning the knife. Use some kinfe/gun oil, see if that fixes it. Removing some of the crud that can build up has helped mine maintain/regain speed after being in the field.

Although the opening may seem slow compared to other models, it definitely should always lock up fine when opened.

Replacing the torsion bar is a good idea. I also pollished the brass washers which made opening silky smooth. All I do now is maintain with a few drops of CLP.

thanks guys, appreciate the feedback. it is brand new and doesn't really have any dirt or build-up. would loosening the pivot make it open faster? Guess I'm just used to the blur that i had been using up and to this point. That knife opens a lot faster haha

if you are used to the blur, then yes, it's just going to be slower. I would adjust the pivot, I had to on mine, and see if that helps. There should be a point where it fires out and is still centered when folded.
