so i took my zt 300 apart to clean and what not. didnt really check or notice if the blade was sitting sitting against the g10 side, but upon reassembly it is now. When i was cleaning it the little brass/copper washer where dirty so i gently cleaned them with 1500 grit sandpaper. i thought that maybe i had sanded them uneven and any small degree change there would be multiplied at the end of the blade, so i wrote to Kershaw and they sent me new pivet bolt assembly. put the new washer on and same thing, i didnt replace the threw bolt because I didnt have driver that side (anyone know exactly what size the pocket clip screws are so i can make sure to get the right size tomorrow). anyways i reassembled it by laying the ti side down, then putting the small washer, followed by the blade. then came the bigger washer, then the liner followed by the tension rod. then i slide the spacer into the back (not sure of the name but it has 3 smaller screws that go threw all the pieces. finally i put the g10 side, lined everything up and the blade begins to touch the liner on the g10 side about an inch back from the thumb stud. I just looked at it and I had put a little white litium grease between every point of contact and applied a small coating to the tension rod, could that be causing the washers not to set right.

The lock bar is most likely pushing the blade to the side as you reassemble the knife. Loosen all of the screws without removing them, then make a little wedge out of folded paper to place between the G10 scale and blade. After that, tighten the screws leaving the pivot screw for last. That should be enough to get the blade to stop touching the scale.
