Hi,
I figured someone here would be able to answer this, can I remove the pivot to clean and lube the knife without taking the entire knife apart? Thanks in advance for your answer.

I guess, but why would you want to?

Just put a drop of oil on each side of the blade, it will get enough lube that way.

Cleaning it, well just run it under hot water etc and let air dry.

Ok, that's what I have done in the past, I guess that's all I have to do in the future. Thanks!

There's no replacement for the cleaning and lube you get from disassembling a knife. The 300 series is not difficult to take apart either. When you do you'll notice a cavity milled into the G10 side where the torsion bar is housed. If you put a layer of grease in the cavity it'll cure the oh so annoying rattle from a AO Kershaw.

Open the knife before disassembly, the Torsion bar needs to be unloaded unless you want to lose it.

It would be harder to do that than just taking it apart.

Add some grease.

Then put it all back together.
