The ZT 350 did quite well in my recent test session and I want to give 'er a go a work but don't like the assisted opening.
Anything I should know before I have a go at removing the torsion bar? It is a torsion bar, correct?

yes it is a torsion bar.

the only thing you have to do is add a detent hole in the blade if there's not one already there. some of them had it from the factory, some didn't.

i've done it on quite a few ZT's, i'm not a big fan of the assisted opener, and quite a few people that do like the speedsafe feature just wanted to add the detent hole to help the blade stay closed even better!

hope that helps!

if you attempt to drill the detent hole put it right at the end of the arc that's marked on the blade by the detent itself. just make sure you get a good carbide tipped bit to cut the hardened steel!
