ZT 350, blade hits the frame?

I've tried to figure out what stops the blade in my ZT 350 when I close it, and it seems that the edge hits the frame of the knife as opposed to some part of the blade stopping the movement. At very beginning, I noticed that the tip hits the handle, but later when watching the edge at certain light it seems that it's slightly blunted from the area that is aligned with back of the handle where the knife is closed.

I was wondering if anyone noticed the same or knows how the knife actually works? I haven't used this knife that much for the edge to wear like that. If my doubts are true, this is a really bummed design. :thumbdn:

I would imagine the choil would have to be the part that's supposed to stop the blade when folded. Contact ZT about it, they'll definitely take care of you.

I don't know about the 0350, but on my 0300 the thumbstuds/stop pins contact the handle when the knife is closed.

I believe that the thumb stud on one side of the blade acts as the blade stop. At least that is the way it appears on mine.

It is the thumb stud that stops the blade. The tolerances are very close between the backspacer an the blade. It's likely that your blade is just barely touching. On the 0350s I've had, there is a slight amount of play when assembling the handle. If you slide the backspacer away from the blade and then re-assemble, you should get just enough clearance.

The thumbstud, ofcourse!
It's not that it dullens much, and since the stud stops it it shouldn't be a problem forever.
