Hey all. I've been looking pretty hard at picking up the 350. From everything I've read and watched (youtube), it looks like it is one heckuva rugged knife. I realize I'm preaching to the choir here, so on to my questions:
Has anyone used the 350 for outdoors/ camping/ hunting type chores? If so, how did it do? Does the thickness of the blade interfere with dressing out game (deer, turkey, etc.)?
While not necessarily opposed or against it, I'm not a tremendous fan of assisted openers. It is not a dealbreaker by any means, but could the assisted opening mechanism be removed if I chose to go that route?
Can anyone post a comparison pick between the 350 and say a benchmade griptillian showing the difference in width of the blade? I'm not sure exactly how wide the blade is and, as an owner of a BM grip, I could use that to compare.
I'm a fan of smaller folders, so the blade length of the 350 is pretty much right around the size I'm comfortable carrying. I know that a couple of the beefier ZT's do not have the assisted opening mechanisms, but they are too big for me and my EDC comfort level. If I pick the 350 up, I would like it to be my permanent EDC ( I know, probably not possible, but a guy can dream, can't he? Plus, it goes over better with the wife when she hears it.
)
I appreciate any and all help that could be provided to me. I own a black Leek, and have recently become more interested in the entire line, especially with the reopening of this forum.
Thanks.
John
