ZT 350 speedsafe failure?

I just got my ZT 350 today and am loving it all except for one aspect. The speedsafe mechanism is practically non-existant. When i press the flipper or thumbstuds the blade moves slowly to about 110 degrees and stops. It takes quite a bit of wrist movement to open the blade and it seems as if the mechanism is hindering it to open, not helping it. My leek's speedsafe rockets the blade open with a touch of the flipper. And even my non assisted skyline opens faster. What gives.

Yup, tiny bit of adjustment goes a long way. There's a sweet spot where there's no blade play and with easy deployment. It's not hard to find.
