What is the main difference between the 550 and the 551? Are they both flippers?
I can't afford a 560 and may only be able to get a 350, it all depends on the bills next month.

Neither the 0550 nor the 0551 are flippers. They are both deployed by the thumb studs. The 0550 blade is in S35VN, and the limited edition 0551 (1,000 produced) is Elmax steel like the 0560/0561 which are flippers. The 0551's are currently only available on the secondary market.

ZT 0550 - Has s35vn Steel And A Different Textured G-10.
ZT 0551 - Has Elmax Steel And A Different G-10 From The 0550 And Is Discontinued And Is Most Likely Found Here On The Exchange.

Both Are Manual Knives, Not Flippers Or Assisted.

The Only Flipper ZT Models That Aren't Assisted Are:
ZT 0200
ZT 0560
ZT 0561

The Manual Non-Flippers:
ZT 0500
ZT 0550
ZT 0551
ZT 0700
And I Think A Couple More Are On The Way.

The Assisted Flippers:
ZT 0300
ZT 0301
ZT 0302
ZT 0303
ZT 0350
ZT 0360
ZT 0400
ZT 0750
ZT 0777

And There Are A Couple Of Models I'm Missing In These Lists I Know, And There Are Like 2 Automatic Models As Well.

Thanks, I'm looking for a flipper or an assisted. Price wise it sounds like a 350.
Another question, I've seen some ZT400's on the bay for decent prices,is this model worth even looking at?

I Really Loved My ZT 0400 When I Had It.
I Don't Like Tanto Blades But That One Just Works.
It's A Great Knife, And I Would Look Into It.
Comparing To The 0350...
If You Want Something A Little Less Wide, A Little Slimmer, A Little Longer(Blade And Handle, The Handle Feels Awesome In Hand), But Just As Tough, Get It.

Thanks, I'll definately keep the 400 in mind.
