Hey all,

Recieved my Zt 0560 a couple hours ago. Seiral number 0016. Thought id give a few inital thoughts and small commentary with regards to this beast of a knife.

Initial thoughts, I love it. A bit bigger than I expected/am normally accustomed to carrying in my pocket but ill get over it. Came centered, nice early lock up, perfect just as to be expected.

Clip:
A lot thinner than the ZT 0551 (ofcourse this is obvious if you've seen any pictures of it). I do prefer it over the Zt 0551's because of the "lip" it creates, allows more of it to go into your pocket and less of it sticking out. It does seem flimsier though but it is ample for EDC carry and I do not foresee a problem with it.

Action:
Buttery smooth. Comes out with authority and a nice cling to it. In comparision to my tilt, I am finding that it is a tad bit more difficult to open. This could be soley due to the fact that the Zt's blade shape is a lot heavier (specifically at the front)? Nevertheless a lot smoother 99.9% of the stuff out there. Its a joy to flick.

Thumb stud deployment
As others have mentioned it is quite hard (if not impossible) to flick it. Atleast with my right hand(I am right handed). Oddly enough I found it a lot easier to flick with my left hand (non dominant). This could be caused by the fact that the detent ball is located on the left side (Ti portion) of the knife and when one puts pressure with their right hand its actually reinforcing the detent (moving the ball in more), while if your pushing it out with your left hand you are pushing the blade away from the ball (dont know how much sense this makes..but just try to imagine it I will clarify if needed).

lock up:
Nice early lock up. In comparision to the ZT 0551 it is a lot skinnier (refer to pics). Not saying that its a bad thing because it is plenty strong.
Furthermore the lock face is a lot at a more gradual angle then the lockface of the ZT 0551. I do prefer this more.

Ok now enough chit chat, here are some pics. Sorry for the quality but the sun is going down and it was starting to snow, will shoot better pics later.

Cool! Love the snowflakes in the background.:D The 560 is definitely going on my short list.

THanks for the quick review.

What's the blade lengh on that bad boy Nader? The knife looks pretty nice and big, i like it maybe it'll flip better when it gets a little more broke in.
Thanks for the pics.

No Problem, blade length is 3 3/4. Dont get me wrong, blade flicks out excellently, iv just been pampered with the tilt ;). Who knows though, maybe it will get better

Sweet, thanks for the pics. Which one do you think slices better 560 or 551?

The blades look exactly identical to each other to me (thickness wise). I will do a test but it will be bias since the ZT 0551's edge has been re profiled. On first glance they look like they would perform exactly the same.

Nice pics! I think I can talk myself out of a 0561. It's too close to my sebenza and tilt.

How did you manage 2 great knives in less than 2 weeks time?! Lucky man!

The power of friendship! Not going to lie a friend told me about the tilt within an hour of its posting and another friend told me about the ZT 0560 within a couple of hours ;).

I love this forum, without it I AM NOTHING.

Thanks for the comment. Trust me though, it is nothing like them at all. Nothing about it speaks sebenza for me (except quality). The tilt is a lot more lighter package than the 0560. Not saying that I pry with my knives, but if I did I would not do it with the tilt, and defiantly do it with the 0560.

Just dont cross it off your list, you gotta feel it before you judge!

Great pics Nade! I'd say the blade is closer to 4". It's a big knife!

Thanks rocky, let me clarify my post about the size. The cutting edge is 3.75 (just measured it) but the overall blade length (measured on the spine) is just shy of 4 inches
