I want a good flipper and was checking out the 561 and the Domino. Which one should I get? Is there any other flipper I should be looking at?

The 0561 is much bigger. Check out the 0562 or 0801 if you want something more to the Domino's size.

Sincerely,

The supreme allied commander of the ZT fanboys (aka Zt's #1 fanboy)

Depends on some preferences:

Do you want a smaller or larger knife?

Is weight a concern?

Do you want a more robust blade shape, or better cutting performance?

Price is roughly similar. But the domino does have a steel lockbar insert. Newer ZTs do as well, and you could get the ZT0562cf for not much more, and I think it is a much better knife than the 560. You couldnt go wrong with either the 0562cf or Domino.

If you are looking strictly for flipping action, the Domino is the best that I have personally felt. And that includes the 560, 561, 562, 801, Southard, Rubicon, Bionic 2.0 and the XM-18.

I like ZT and spyderco

I'm tending to prefer ZT's offerings as far as designs, but the spyderco factory is so close in Golden that stocking up on cheap quality made in USA folders has kind of prevented me from straying.

But if I was paying full retail (roughly equal price between the knives), I'd go ZT.

I've had both, but I prefer the Brad Southard flipper by Spyderco.

The ergonomics of the 0561 is just miles above the Domino IMO. If you are looking to EDC or if you prefer a smaller knife, then the 0561 may not work well for you every time. Personally, I think the 3.13" blade of the Domino is a bit too small for me. The 0562 or 0562CF is the way to go, if you don't mind spending a little extra. I am especially fond of 3.4" to 3.5" folders, which puts the 0562 dead perfect for my tastes -- and the ergos is nothing short of amazing. Good luck.

Total opposite for me. The domino just melt into my hand. Better flipper in my experience and I've had 2 of both. Still have both dominos but neither 0560. I prefer the CTS 204P on the BBS domino over the ZT Elmax. The Domino is everything you need and nothing you don't (except maybe the spydie hole). The ZT is all flash and not as good a performer. If you care about cutting performance, there's no competition. The Domino is the clear winner. The only things the ZT has are a longer blade and styling which is subjective. Personally I don't even like the looks. There are much nicer looking ZTs out there.
