I’m looking into buying my first ZT knife and have narrowed it down between the carbon fiber and titanium version of the 562. What is everyone’s thoughts on these? I like both, but will end up single if I spend $500+ on knives...

They’re basically the same knife. Just get the one that looks better to you, you’ll enjoy it either way. The 562 will not disappoint.

But seriously, ^^ that’s the best advice. I honestly would probably have to choose the CF version, but it’s a real tough choice. Don’t let the TI lower weight throw you off, they handle the exact same. The grip/traction is what differs the most between the two.

One of the reasons I never bought a 0562CF was the stainles liner in an otherwise CF & Ti knife. When considering price and performance it’s probably an irrational hangup, but it is what it is.

One of the reasons I probably won’t be picking up an 0562Ti is I’m out of money. :)

Guess I hadn't realized the liner was SS on the CF - thought it was Ti too.

I agree about the use of the steel liner. It will develop rusty spots if one just flush and hair dry the knife without disassembling it.

I have/had three 0562cf's but not 0562TI. I think full ti handle is great. I will perhaps replace one of my 0562cf with a 0562ti.

I would get the Ti version because it weighs as little as the CF version anyway. The CF version also has a stainless steel liner under the cf which the TI version doesn’t. I kind of dislike stainless steel liners on my ti framelocks.

If you have a little bit of modder in you then 0562CF offers the added option of swapping out scales just to change things up from time-to-time. I've tried micarta, G10 and twill weave CF in different colors. You can also do a full titanium, liner delete replacement. With the 0562Ti you're limited to a full Ti swap. Not sure if there's anyone out there selling just the liners.

Thanks for all the feedback!! Initially I thought the blade material was different between the two, but with it being the same I think I’ll go with the titanium. I really like the look of it over the carbon fiber.

I have the CF version. But if I had to do it again I’d go for the Ti since you will have more options like anodization and easier scale change to CF if you want to go down that road. Haven’t seen a third party Ti scale yet for the 562.

I'm a sucker for Carbon Fiber so that's the version I own. I'll maybe pick up a Ti version someday but I'm thinking of jumping headfirst into the Hinderer game.....

I actually got my 0562cf out of the safe Saturday and took some photos. It really is quite an amazing knife.

I think blue ti hardware on ZT 0562TI will make the knife look fantastic. Anyone has done that?

I’ll give it a try once I finally break down and order one and will post pics. I like the idea of blue with titanium.
