Wow, it's only after I've tried flipping a non-KVT ZT, that I really appreciate how awesome my 561 is.

That's not to say I don't like the 700 -- I wouldn't have bought it otherwise -- but I've only flipped it a couple of times, and there's an abrasion on my index finger that hurts like a....

Is the 700's flip supposed to be that tough? Without a wrist-flick, it only opens about 50-70% of the way.

I agree you should loosen up the pivot but only a tad. Also I have to "flip" the flipper a certain way to get it to open fully. I have to build up a good bit of pressure to open fully.

My 0700 is the same way. I have to give it a little bit of a wrist flick but it never fails to lock up doing it that way.

Man, I must say, the F&F on this thing is awesome.

Also, a quick question; if my finger is rubbing against the jimping when I'm flipping it, am I doing something wrongly? Is the finger supposed to "clear" the jimping? That might be why I'm getting finger abrasions.

tear it down and lube it!!! I own a few of these they need a break-in but the best thing you can do is tear it down and polish and lube everything.

I'm always wary of taking apart my folders, because I'm not sure I will be able to put it back together.

Just use the directional thumb studs. They're the best way of opening the 0700. :D

I actually find it hard, if not impossible, to open it with the thumbstuds. Must be doing something wrongly, since I can fully deploy the blade using the flipper now.
