Hi,

I am thinking about polishing the screws and pivots on my ZT801 but have never done something like that before. I have a Dremel with a wire wheel attachment, but I am not sure if that would be enough to take the black off of the screws and pivots. I have seen some really nice 801s on here with polished hardware and I was hoping I could get some recommendations as to how this was done. Do you think that the wire wheel/Dremel combo would be enough, or would I just be left with an ugly mess?

Any advice is appreciated.

Thank you.

It would probably be a bit too aggressive. My advice would be using sand in a large container like a sealable plastic jar. Shake it hard and it'll polish the coating off

Since you have a Dremel just use some metal polish or some rouge that should polish them right up.

I figured I would polish them after removing the black, but I didn't think of taking the black off with the polishing attachments... I guess that would work. Thanks!
