ZT Assisted open

I've had and carried mine for 3-4 months now and never had it happen. I have more problems with knives that have oversized thumb studs (it's like an unexpected wave feature) than AO knives.

Just carry the knife so that the spine rests on either side/edge of the pocket, preventing the blade from opening.

the speedsafe system kershaw and ZT both use Rarely if ever opens in pocket, my Chive is the only one ive ever had open and thats because its an insanely sensitive little SOB, but i doubt youll ever have a ZT open in your pocket

I have a 0300 and if you tuck it into the corner of your pocket, the flipper can get caught in the corner and open as you pull it out. Its happend once to me in 1.5yrs of use.

the AO system that ZT uses has 2 stages to it. when closed the AO acually keeps the blade closed. after the blade opens and reaches a certain angle then the AO kicks in and opens it up.

only way i would see it opening is if u carry it tip up and the finger flipper gets caught on something. if your really worried about it carry it tip down blade facing toward the back of u

I was just fiddling with my ZT, opening it slowly. The torsion bar does not actually push the blade open until after the blade travels a good 1.5 inches or so from closed. Even if the blade opened in the pocket, the blade would have to pass that 1.5 inches or thereabouts for the blade to fully open.
